Life
After graduation I attended the Iowa Law Enforcement Academy in Johnston, Iowa. I was a cop for over 3 years, until a heart condition put me on the side lines. I floated from job to job until 1992 when I was placed on permanent disability due to HIV infection. I have not been diagnosed with full blown AIDS yet, but it is only a matter of time. oughout my life I owe an apology. I am currently living in Muscatine, Iowa with my dogs and my dad. He divorced Mona in 1999, moved in with me "for a few days" and has never left. But that's okay, we get along great and keep each other company. I moved to Arizona in 1989 where I lived until late 1992. I came back to Iowa to die, but God had other plans for me. I am an HIV educator, speaking publicly many times a year. I feel it is my duty and a great pleasure to try my hardest to stop the spread of HIV through education.
