Graduated from U. of Tulsa, 1973 (BS in Ed); Taught history in New Mexico, 1973-74; joined the Tulsa Co. Sheriff
as a deputy, 1975-1980; Chief of Police, Owasso, Ok 1980-81; Received
MA (History) from U. of Tulsa, 1982;
Graduate Teaching Assistant, U. of North Dakota, 1982-85, recieved doctorate in history, 1986; Carnegie
Doctoral Fellow, Harvard University, 1983; Teacher, Yucca Valley High School, California, 1985-2009; Adjunct Assistant Professor of History, Chapman
University, 1987-2005.

love most aspects of California life.

Life at CHS was great; nothing but good
memories of wonderful times and good
friends. I do miss the '60s but being a
teacher of history I get to revisit it
quite often.
Which graduation do you mean? High School? I graduated from college three times! Most of my adult life has been spent as a teacher of history.
Retired in June of 2010 and moved back to Tulsa.
