Life
"Retired" in Kentucky, still playing with cars. I have 12 or 13 vehicles at this time. Most are "coal". That is, they will be turned into diamonds with a bit of time and pressure. I'm working on the new shop now.
My Kids
Jackie, the elder (step daughter) is now teaching middle school.
Jeanette Adele Chevyone - the little one.
Almost had Chevyone as her first name, but was then born on my Mom's birthday. So Jean had to be part of her name. The Chevy-one was actually my wife's idea. Now you can see why I married her. Jeanette started soap box derby racing this year and was #1 in the Nation for several months, until we skipped a big race held on Thanksgiving(!?) in NC. We're not THAT serious about the gravity racing.
My Job
Designing automotive components for OEM and racing. Most fun was the time spent working with Hendrick Motorsports. Eight products I designed are currently on the road. Have fifteen U...Expand for more
S Patents on valve lifter and rocker arm designs.
Left the sinking ship called Delphi (in 2005) and landed a great Job working for Holley Performance in Bowling Green, KY. All race car parts, all the time.
UPDATE: Like too many US Businesses, Holley is run by bean-counters who don't understand the product. They decided to move performance parts to China and chase big volume OEM smog equipment contracts, a product they don't understand how to make. End result is that the products they built their name on go to crap, while they lose tons of money on the new products they don't understand, and don't have the resources to test. I resigned in May 2008. UPDATE 2: Holley went bankrupt and fired everyone working on the big (money losing) OEM projects! While my opinion (and large reason for my resignation) may have been justified, my position had been eliminated when they sold Lunati to Comp Cams.
Loving life in Kentucky, not moving back to NY.
