Wayne's Story
No longer resident of Cicero,but always proud to say thats where my root's are! Active as a Servant Catholic priest day to day ministry keeps me going.PADS shelter work has been driving force for 16yrs.AIDS Ministry/HIV awareness continues on.Living in a Forest Park Condo,our church does not sustain a residence so we are on our own.Recently came in contact with our first grade nun from St.Attracta, Sr.Pat(Sr.Mary Thomasene)
still a fantastic woman at the motherhouse in LaGrange.Most of the family is passed away,now deeling with mom in hospice care...a unique woman,army WAC in WW2and has been disabled since 1944..she is why I have been able to sustain a positive,outgoing attitude in my life
I always wanted to be a priest when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a strange idea. As it turns out, they were totally wrong.
I put on my coat or jacket and head outdoors to air,privacy and space
I can't say I have a specific hero.I look back on the story of St.Francis of Assissi and St.John Vieney,the Curer of Ares and would like to live in their footsteps.
The one person from my past who I'd most like to see again is Donn Troyanowski, because we knew each other well.

My first job was at Western Electric, where I got paid 18 dollars hourly to do piecework. What I remember most about it is I learned strong work ethic.
