Wayne's Story

I studied beer and canasta at the UofA, and pursed a girl I still love, during my first year out of high sxhool. The Dean of Arts rightly concluded I should withdraw and "study" somewhere else. So, I went to NAIT and took up architectural technology. I did that. I then went back to the UofA and took a B. Com and an MBA majoring in marketing and business policy. I then partnered with my thesis advisor in a small, but important, market research company while I taught Marketing. I left the UofA for Alberta Government Telephones in Market Research Planning and Development. From there I entered...Expand for more
the cable telivision industry as Chief of Planning for QCTV. From there I became the Director of Plannng for the Canadian Cable Television Association in Ottawa. That position led me to Vancouver as Exec. Director of the Pacific Region and Vice-Chair of the CCTA. After a stint as General Manager at Delta Cable, I returned to Alberta as Executive Vice President of Shaw Communicarions based in Calgary. After Shaw I spent many years in manufacturing, distribution, and owner/manager in the industrial wireless industries. I am married with two sons living almost back where I started - in Edmonton.
