School
I started my diverse schooling endeavor in Eugene Oregon in 1977 at Dunn School. I attended Dunn School for Kindergarten, first and second grades but then the school was scheduled to close and I transferred to Danebo Elementary School for the first part of third grade. The second part of third grade and fourth grade I attended Edgewood Elementary School. Until now all of these schools were in Eugene Oregon. The next school I attended was Goshen Elementary School in Goshen Oregon. I attended Goshen for fifth grade. I should mention that this is the first year that I played football. We won the division championship. For sixth grade I moved to Ocean Shores Washington and attended Ocean Shores Elementary School. For seventh and eighth grade I moved to Aberdeen Washington and attended Miller Junior High School. I was all set to start Weatherwax High School but a week before classes started I moved again. This time I moved to Everett Washington. In Everett I attended Cascade High School for most of ninth grade but moved yet again with one-month left to go during the school year. I moved back to Eugene Oregon and attended Churchill High School for the last month of ninth grade and throughout the rest of my high school career. While in High School I played Football, Wrestled, did Track & Field and also numerous other activities. I graduated from High School in 1990 and then joined the military. Even though I joined the military, my educational endeavors did not stop there. My educational endeavors are further detailed in my college biography.
College
I started my college career at the United States Naval Academy Preparatory School in Newport Rhode Island in July of 1992. While at the Prep School I was a Running Back for the football team. After graduation in 1993 I received an appointment to the US Naval Academy in Annapolis Maryland. I attended the Naval Academy for 3 years and during that time had majored in many subjects. My first major was Political Science. I quickly changed this ...Expand for more
major to Computer Science and then again to General Science. My career in the navy ended abruptly due to my receipt of a service connected disability. After the Naval Academy, I attended George Mason University in Fairfax Virginia. While at George Mason I majored in Administration of Justice and then Public Administration. I also pledge a fraternity while attended in George Mason (AXP). I worked as a Bouncer and Security Manager at three local Bars while attending school at George Mason (see my work biography for which bars). After going to spring break in Myrtle Beach South Carolina, I took a break from school and moved to Myrtle Beach where I again worked as a Bouncer in some bars. After spending the fall in Myrtle Beach and finding my future wife I moved back to Eugene Oregon where I attended Lane Community College for a Semester and received an Associate of Arts degree. I should note that I married my wife in this time period and also had my first child. After Lane community College I moved to Monmouth Oregon and attended Western Oregon University. My major at Western Oregon was Law Enforcement and I minored in Forensic Science. I attended Western Oregon University for several years while working as a Deputy Sheriff. My work conflicted with school so I stopped attending with only one semester left to go. During this time period I had my second child. After working as a Deputy (and as a result of 9/11/2001) I accepted a position overseas in the Middle East (see my work bio for more info) working as a Force Protection Specialist. After returning to the United States (my wife had moved back to South Carolina while I was in the Middle East) I enrolled at Coastal Carolina University as a Western Oregon University Transient Student. I completed my last semester and in June 0f 2003, I received my Bachelors of Science Degree in Law Enforcement with a minor in Forensic Science. I am currently working on my Masters Degree in Forensic Science.

Military
On my 18th birthday I joined the United States Navy via the "Delayed Entry Program". My recruiter was Chief Laurel Wright from the Eugene Recruiting Station. On September 18, 1990 I reported to the Recruit Training Center (RTC) in San Diego California. After graduating I was selected for Hospital Corpsman "A" School also in San Diego California. After graduating from Corpsman School and becoming a Hospital Corpsman I reported to the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda Maryland for my first tour of duty. While in Bethesda I worked in the Pediatric Clinic and also completed numerous medical classes and courses including the Emergency Medical Technician - Basic Course. One of these courses was Firefighting Training and Damage Control. This course required me to travel to and stay in Norfolk Virginia for a temporary period before returning to Bethesda. In July 1992 I was selected to attend the United States Naval Academy Preparatory School in Newport Rhode Island. After graduation I was appointed as a Midshipman at the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis Maryland where I attended for 3 years. In 1996 I received a service connect disability and was honorably separated from the Navy. I could not keep the Navy out of my blood though and currently work for the Navy again but this time as a Federal Civilian Security Specialist.
