Wayne's Story
Attended The Citadel in Charleston, SC. After a short stent as a Civil Engineer for the South Carolina Highway Dept, I entered the Air Force attending pilot training at Reese AFB, TX and remained with the Air Force until retirement on 1 Jan 1987. Flew AC-47 gunships, KC-135 Tankers and B-52 Bombers. After B-52 flight Test, I became a staff officer with the European Command in Stuttgart, Germany then my final posting as Chief of Operations for Base Civil Engineering at Offutt AFB, Nebraska.

Senior Transportation Planner for a council of governments in Salem, OR. Final retirement was in July 2001.
I married in 1971 to a girl from Australian and we have two children, a girl and a boy, both of whom have had two children. Leah is an Oregon VA advocate and Carter is a helicopter pilot for a medical transport company.
Happy to say life has been pretty fulfilling and while everything didn't go my way all the time, things have been pretty good. I'm now living in Dallas, OR after selling my old mini farm to my son in 2013. Spend two days a week golfing and lots of time with the 7 year old granddaughter
