Wayne's Story
Life
After high school I went to Weber State College, studying architectural drafting. While there the College became a University and I started working as a RA (residence assistant) - basically becoming a pseudo-mom for all the kids living in the dorms.
From there I took that job and began doing the same thing in Yellowstone National Park. That job got old fast so I quickly traded roles and started working in the hotel business inside the park the next summer. It was an incredible experience living and working in such an amazing place. I loved it so much that I stayed on to work the winter season at Old Faithful. Cross-country skiing became my life, pretty much the only way to trek the 1/2 mile to and from work to the dorm area. was great - great enough that I worked another 2 summers and one more winter.
Then it was time to "settle down", so I came back to Utah where I restarted my shool life once again at the University of Utah to work on a degree in Architecture. That didn't work out quite the way I had expected, but I did get a job with a local firm that specialized in designing custom second homes in the Park City area.
In December 2001 my life completely changed, I met Jaden. We had been emailing each other off and on over the past 8 months or so, and finally connected in "real life" over dinner. That dinner date turned into a movie night, and then a night out on the town. We've been together ever since. We've traveled across the United States, Europe and Asia on some really amazing adventures (not bad for a boy out of some small town in rural Utah - and yes, even smaller than Tooele!).
