Wayne's Story
After a few years grinding away at the U of A, I moved to Flagstaff, where the weather was cooler and the hiking was better. I graduated from NAU with a degree in Elementary Education in 1991 and began working at Esperero Canyon Middle School in 1993, first as a 6th grade math/social studies/writing & lit teacher, and eventually ending up as an 8th grade pre-algebra/algebra teacher. In the past few years I've completed an MA in TTE (mathematics) and have become a National Board Certified Teacher in Early Adolescent Mathematics.

two incredible children. Jessika is graduating this year from high school and will be entering the U of A seeking a degree in Biology. Rachel will be entering 8th grade, and has begun to develop the love of cycling that was a driving force throughout my 20s and early 30s.
Amazingly, I live within a few blocks of Sahuaro, raising my family not far from where I grew up and spending summers at Eastern Hills Pool, just like I did as a kid. In my free time I enjoy traveling with my wife and exploring new cultures.
