Wayne's Story
Life
It's been 50 years since we graduated. Time sure has flown. My wife and I have 10 children, 5of which are adopted. For 30years I was a Fire fighter for the City of Aurora. I retired as a Captain inAdministration I ranthe Staffing office. We live in Franktown, CO where I built our house in 1978 It is on 5 acres and has a view of the Front Range of the Rockies for 150 miles.
Workplace
After I got out of the Navy I worked for the Rio Grande Railroad, managed the Sportspage restaurant and lounge and finally found what I really wanted to do-become a Firefighter, I was hired in 1975 in Aurora. I have worked for the Aurora Fire Department for 30 years a...Expand for more
nd have worked my was up from Firefighter to Firefighter/paramedic, Lieutenant, then to Captain. I am now with Administration running the Staffing Office.
As of now October 4, 2005, I am retired from the Aurora Fire Department with 30 years of service. Right now I am just going to enjoy my life with my family and friends
We adopted another boy 3 years ago, he is 14 y/o and in the 8th grade. Last year I went to work for Douglas County School District as a transition coach for kids with disabilities, after they finish high school, they come to us until they are 21 working on life skills and how to manage in the community. So officially I am unretired.
