Wendy "Danielle"'s Story
Life
I'm living in the Wichita area now, and I'm a member of a awesome church that's located just outside of the Wichita area. My daughter is grown, and she's happily married to a wonderful man, and they've given me a beautiful Grandaughter (to whom calls me "MeMe"...not Granny!!!...LOL). They live about 5 hours away, so we chat on the phone a lot, and we visit one another about once a month. I go to the hockey games here a lot, and I catch a movie or two every once in awhile, and I like to go out to eat at all the places that home didn't have for me to eat at.
I live alone, and that's awesome too; because I only have to answer to me :-) I also communicate on the internet with friends a lot.
That's about it...except for the other "usual" stuff like... I camp, and I like to fish etc.etc. and yada yada yada.... :-)
School
I never had a really big "crush" on anyone, and I'm thankful for that; because some of my friends went through having crushes on a few of the guys at school, and what they ended up getting was "crushed;" so I didn't miss out on a lot there.
The teacher that inspired me the most was Mr. T, and I don't know how to actually spell his last name, so I'll leave it at Mr. T; because all of you reading this that went to school at IHS will know who I'm talking about.
If I could do it all over again, I'd say "No Way!" I'm just grateful that I survived as well as ...Expand for more
I did.
I guess my funniest moment would be when it'd get icy out, and us "bad" teenage drivers would "almost" make it to the high school parking lot turn off, and all of the sudden a 6 car fender bender pile up would occur, because of our lack of skill in driving on the ice. It'd happened every year, and it was always a sight to see.
The happiest times for me was when I'd pass those test, that I'd not studied for!
The craziest school memory that I can recall is when I was elected to stand up and yell "food fight" on the last day of school at the Junior High, and when that day came, I stood up and yelled "food fight," and I started throwing food...only everyone just looked at me like I was crazy!? Come to find out I was a day early on the food fight announcement deal...LOL. I of course was expelled from school for the rest of the year (1 day), and then for 2 days at the beginning of the next year to come. Plus I was grounded at home for the first 3 weeks of my summer vacation; but the fact that I messed up something as big as that still makes me wonder how in the world I ever even survived those crazy days, when wearing the wrong outfit could actually ruin a persons life forever!?
At any rate... there's things that I regret, and things that I cherrish; and I'd not trade my memories of those days for anything; but I am glad that their over, and that I'm where I am in life now.
