The most significant experience during my school years - perhaps in my life - was the two-year stint in Europe our family did: a year each in Germany and England. In all honesty I'd have to say the former bordered on magical and the latter...well, just say it did not and I was I was very happy to return to my home town and fin...Expand for more
ish H.S. with old friends! We had been overseas during Woodstock, Kent U. shootings, war protests, moon landing, and it was quite a culture shock to return, especially since home for us was in the SF Bay Area, not far from Berkeley. But, as Dorothy would say, There's no place like home.
