I live in a remote Northern Alaskan eskimo village teaching upper elementary school. I've been teaching in Alaska for the past 7 years. Last year, I bought a condo in Anchorage. So, I spend summers running around with almost 20 hours of daylight. Before moving up North, I lived in Portland. I worked for Nordstrom (Downtown, Personal Shopper)...uh...yes, my fashion trends have made a drastic transition! Prior to Nordy's I worked at Columbia Sportswear (Int'l Dept) and the resume goes on. We've all been busy! I'd say the two most pivotal times since High School were living and working in Turkey and Europe for a year (1990/91). Then, making the change in 1998 to become a teacher. I was working at Columbia Sportswear at the time. I quit my job and worked as an Americorps Volunteer with the SMART Reading Program. I coordinated 150 regular, weekly volunteers at Boise-Eliot & Astor Schools to read with students Grades K-2.
