Wendy's Story

Life I've had a few different careers since graduation. I worked as a secretary; then in the beauty industry for about 20 years and currently as a travel agent specializing in corporate and upscale leisure travel for the last 30 years. Took up golf about 23 years ago. Have traveled from Hawaii to Canada and St. Andrews, Scotland (that was a wild and crazy trip for sure!) to play, and will get on a plane to golf anytime I can! Portland OR area in mid 2017 and then covid came along and my job went to hell in a hand basket, but now I’m so busy I can’t retire… But now I’m traveling again and living life! College After Grant, I did something only slightly different by going to Pierce instead of Valley. That turned out not to be the most exciting experience, so I entered the work force for a while before moving to Santa Barbara to at least try to get my AA degree, which I did at Santa Barbara City College. Since I loved SB but UCSB did not have a School of Business at that time, it was back to work again! .
