One of Wendy's favorite quotes is: "One sees clearly only with the heart. Anything essential is invisible to the eyes." by Antoine de Saint Exupery "An error does not become truth by reason of multiplied propagation, nor does truth become error because nobody sees it. Truth stands, even if there be no public support. It is self sustained." & "We need to be the change we wish to see in the world." by Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi "Broken by it, I, too, may be; bow to it I never will. The probability that we may fall in the struggle ought not to deter us from the support of a cause we believe to be just; it shall not deter me." & "All through life, be sure and put your feet in the right place, and then stand firm." & "I want it said of me by those who knew me best that I always plucked a thistle and planted a flower where I thought a flower would grow." by Abraham Lincoln "These countless human beings, both inside and outside our country, had the nobility of spirit to stand in the path of tyranny and injustice, without seeking selfish gain. They recognized that an injury to one is an injury to all and therefore acted together in defense of justice and a common human decency." by Nelson Mandela (When speaking of his grand-father) "There are two kinds of tired: there's good-tired, and there's bad-tired.' He said, 'Ironically enough, bad-tired can be a day that you won. But you won other people's battles, you lived other people's days, other peoples agendas, other people's dreams and when it was all over there was very little "you" in there, and when you hit the hay at night, somehow you toss and turn--you don't settle easy.' He said, 'Good...Expand for more
-tired, ironically enough, can be a day that you lost. But you don't have to tell yourself, 'cause you knew you fought your battles, you chased your dreams, you lived your days, and when you hit the hay at night, you settle easy--you sleep the sleep of the just, and you can say "take me away." & "Thanksgiving. Remember, junior High school, high school, elementary school? "Everybody bring in your cans for the hungry people." Remember that? Just imagine if somebody, when you were in fifth or sixth grade, if the principal had the gonads to say on Monday, "Children, it was the most single, wonderful outpouring of generosity that the school has ever seen. More cans of food feeding hundred and ninety three families came to this school than every before. We only have one problem and we're going to deal with it this coming week. We're gonna cancel our regular classes and what we're gonna talk about is 'What are those people gonna eat next week?'" Now, doesn't that sounds like a sensible educational system that dealt with those kinds of questions?" by Harry Chapin €œWhat shall it profit a man if he gains the whole world but loses his soul. €œIt is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the Kingdom of Heaven €œNo one lights a lamp and puts it in a place where it will be hidden, or under a bowl. Instead he puts it on its stand, so that those who come in may see the light. €œRemain in me, and I will remain in you. No branch can bear fruit by itself; it must remain in the vine. Neither can you bear fruit unless you remain in me. €œYe have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour, and hate thine enemy. But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you. €œSo do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand." €œLet us love, not in word or speech, but in truth and action. Jesus Christ of Nazareth". I have an awesome husband and five amazing children. I also have a wonderful grandson. I love my family very much and am very proud of them all. I like the Toronto Maple Leafs. Whether they win or lose they will always be my favourite team. My two favourite hockey players are Sidney Crosby and Alex Ovechkin.
