Wendy's Story

Hi Friends! I went to Northern Arizona University right out of high school but that only lasted for a semester. After I came back, I went to Orange Coast College and then transferred to U.C. Santa Barbara. I graduated from UCSB in 1975. In 1976 I married a boy from Palos Verdes and moved to the South Bay area. After he got his MBA from UCLA and started working for IBM, I went back to school and got a teaching credential. I then taught elementary school for four years in Lakewood. When my second son was born, I quit work in order to stay home and raise my kids. I now have three incredible...Expand for more
sons. They are ages 29, 33, and 35 and I am very proud of each of them. My middle son and his wife are expecting twins in June! My first grandchildren!! I went back to teaching when my youngest son was nine and I now teach first grade, In 2000, I earned a Masters degree in educational Technology from Pepperdine. I love to read and am in a great book club. I also love live theater and go to a lot of shows. At the moment, I am working my way through a difficult divorce. But, life goes on and I'll be okay. I'm excited about the arrival of the twins! I hope that you're having fun, too! Wendy
