Wilbur's Story

Life Life comes at you fast. Seems like yesterday I was sled riding down the pipeline behind my parents house and now my kids are sled riding in the back of our house. It has been a strange and wonderful journey finding out who I am and what is my purpose in this life. I would like to think that I have made an impact on the people around me and treated everyone that way I wanted to be treated. If that is not that case then please forgive me. With everything, there are good and bad. Life has many ups and downs. I have 2 wonderful daughters who I think the world of. I have a wonderful wife who I share this life with. I have a wonderful family that has supported me through those good and bad times. I have always kept an upbeat spirit and looked for the good in every situation. We can choose to either be happy or sad. I choose to be joyful. With my departing words, I would like to give you the reason for my joy. My joy comes from my relationship with Jesus. I have put all my trust in him and have turned all my problems over to him. When we look deep into our lives, we need to ask the question, "Am I a good person?" Everyone wants to belive they are a good person. Here is a simple test to see if you are a good person. Have you ever told a lie, stolen anything, or used God's name in vain? Jesus said, "Whoever looks upon a woman to lust after her has committed adultery already with her in his heart." Have you looked with lust? Will you be guilty on Judgment Day? If you have done those things God sees you as a lying, thieving, blasphemous, adulterer at heart. The Bible warns that if you are guilty you will end up in Hell. Does this concern you? It should. It's not God's ...Expand for more
will that you shoud go to hell. He sent His Son to suffer and die on the cross for you. Jesus took your punishment upon Himself -"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life." Then He rose from the dead and defeated death. Please, repent (turn from sin) today and trust in Jesus, and God will grant you everlasting life. Then read your Bible daily and obey it. Thank you and God Bless Wilbur Hetrick II School What can you say about school? It is a place of learning. Most of the lessons learned during those days had nothing to do with education. The most important lessons you learned were who your friends were and weren't. Everyone wants to fit in, to have a good time and to be treated fairly. This is not what school is about. We can see these effects with all the school shootings that are going on around the world. We live in a socitey that breeds contempt and it starts in our schools. We need to educate our students with discipline. That should start early in our educational system. I remember not having the correct behavior in school and getting disciplined in school then getting home and get a double dose from my parents. We as parents have taken away the rights of the school to discipline our children and have slacked on discipline in our homes. We cannot live this way. If we are going to tell the educational system that our kids are perfect and do not require their discipline, then we need to discipline them at home. We need to know what are kids are doing and also teach them to do right by our example. If we cannot control our lives how can we expect our kids to control theirs.
