Hello alumni's of class 1968. It has been quite a while, but like most of you the fond memories are all still very much embedded in my mind. Hi Rodney, Danny, Cathy, Anna and all others that are listed on this wonderful web page. God is great for he gave me you guys and whom I had the privilege of having crossed paths with. During my time at Commander Shea I was known as Fred. While there, I had great friends that to this very day and every day of my life I have carried in a special place in my heart. Some of my teachers (that I could remember) were Mr. Aritari, Brother Crogin, Brother Kilty, and the others I can not remember their names but I do remember their faces. While there I was a B student capable of maybe being an A student; but kid fun and games kept me from achieving better. My interest early on was art. Mr. Aritari use to always use me to draw and paint the back ground settings for the schools shows which were always hung up on the stage (auditorium) where the masses were held. It was he who encouraged me to pursue a career in art. I also remember looking forward to going to school for interactions among you; but I did not look forward to each class for I just knew that I was to expect getting slapped on the head or sent to the gym for a good old fashion face to face with the BLACK STRAP. So you go figure, Math - one beating, Spelling another beating, History another beating, Geography another beating, Religion class another beating, eight different classes and beatings for just about all of them. The guys would attest to this. The girls however, were disciplined differently and in no way as severely as the boys were in the Boys Department.
