William's Story

Life Graduated Bunnell 1961. Took physical for draft. Waiting to get drafted worked at Allied Signal (Formerly AVCO). Didn't get called till 1965 by then married Barabara Teachman of Lordship. Started night studies at Norwalk Technical Institute. Left AVCO for Technical Writer Training Program at United Technologies (Formerly Sikorsky)Three kids later divorced. Completed Associates Degree in Electro-Mechanical Technology in 1972. Moore Tool 1973 to 1989, Johnson and Johnson 1989 to 1999. Hoffman Engineering 2000 to 2005 managing Quality and Radiometric/Photometric Calibration Databases and Records, performing statistical anaylsis of data for uncertainity calculations, vendor performance and quality management system improvements. Oh yeah married again 1993 and divorced again 1998. Retired August 2005 followed utility trucks from CT and surrounding states going to help victims of huricane Katrina in Missippi and New Orleans. I retired to Bradenton, FL located on the southern part of Tampa Bay. Spend my time fishing from my kayak and doing occasion...Expand for more
al part time quality assurance consulting. School Went to Sacred Heart Grammar School in the South End of Bpt. Ct during the early 1950's. Left in the 6th grade went to Wooster Jr High & Stfd High. Member of first graduating class at Bunnell 1961. College Completed Associates Degree in Electro-Mechanical Technology in 1972. Workplace Worked at Allied Signal (Formerly AVCO)1962-1968. Left AVCO for Technical Writer Training Program at United Technologies (Formerly Sikorsky)1968 laid off in 1971. Completed CT Machine Building apprenticeship at Moore Tool from 1973 to 1977. Built Jig Borers and Jig Grinders from 1973 to 1989. Worked as a Quality Control Technician at Johnson and Johnson from 1989 laid off in 1999. Still working at Hoffman Engineering 2000 to present managing Quality and Radiometric/Photometric Calibration Databases and Records, calibrating mechanical measuring tools, performing statistical anaylsis of data for uncertainity calculations, corrective actions, vendor performance and quality management system improvements.
