Will's Story
Life
Wow, so...as I looked at my bio on here, I realized just how out-of-date it was getiing. Seeing as how I am waiting for a load of laundry to dry, I might as well let everyone (I know, you have all been chomping at the bit waiting for the "Will" update right?) know what's been going on. Since I last updated this, Allison (my lovely wife) and I have welcomed in baby number two, Leo William Dean Abrahamse. Yeah, its long but we figured we'd get both grandfather's in in one fell swoop. He has since grown into a cute, round little baby who is nearly crawling now. Riley (our oldest boy) is over two now and tries his best to be a big help with the baby. I'm still the Technical Director for a Artswest Playhouse and Gallery, a mid-sized non-profit theatre company in Seattle. I am also the set designer for two of the local high schools so, that's another four productions a year on top of the eight that I design, build, paint and find technicians for at Artswest. My wife, Allison, is currently volunteering regularly in the Animal Care Department of Northwest Trek, a Pierce County...Expand for more
zoo and wildlife preserve. She loves every minute of it and it gives me a kick to see her getting to do something that she has enjoyed since childhood.
There are definately times that I look back slightly disappointed at my high school experience, not at any outside thing, but I wish I had been able to come out of my shell a little bit earlier. I didn't really take advantage of the social aspects of school until it was almost too late and by then, I wasn't as comfortable with myself as I became through some of my later experiences. Thankfully, that introverted streak ended shortly after high school and I think I more than made up for it the following year at SFCC and later at WSU where I eventually found my niche in the theatre department. It was there that I found Allison and really the person who I wanted to be. I look forward to hearing how everyone has been doing in the years since our graduation. Those of you who sprung for the Gold Membership on here...give me a shout or you can find me on myspace, where I tend to do a little better job of keeping things up to date.
