William's Story
Went to St. Joseph's College after 'Hope (That's where the movie "Brian's Song" was filmed, played football there. Transferred back to WV Tech 'cuz girlfriend was there, also, like an idiot, played sports. Went to Ivy League (Cornell, in NY) on a "minority" scholarship (I knew my drunken Cherokee papa would be useful someday). Got in lots of trouble through those years, straighted up and practiced enviro and criminal law for 16yrs. Became Deputy Attorney General for West (by God!) eputy Director for the state Dept of Enviro Protection. For family reasons, I'm now home in Hopetown taking care of my 84yr old mom. (Dad passed in '98).
Have calmed down a bit, but under the right circumstances, still act irresponsibily (not proudly, but it has to happen now and again!!) Hope everyone one of the great folks from out little town are prospering and enjoying life. Now that I'm back here, its a very hard adjustment. (So I watch Andy Griffith re-runs in order to try to calm down....go figure.)Billy Adams
