William's Story
Life
Lived on east coast of NC until I was 19 years old. After a year of college at UNCW, moved to Philadelphia where, after attending college at the Univ of Penn and Trenton college and Ohio State, I hooked up with a government job at 22. Spent the last 40 years working for the Federal Government mainly in avionics and computer fields. Retired from government servive with 40 1/2 years. Three grown children and six grandchildren. Workplace
My first real job experience was with a company in Bristol, PA called Rhom & Haas Chemicals & Plastics where I worked in their Research and Development labs for a year. After another year of college I worked in Philadelphia for Cabot Corp in their R&D labs. Then in 1964, I got a job with good old Uncle Sam in Washington. Spent most of the next 40 years working at many different locations all over the world, mostly in technical and computer fields.
