I did not attend Reseda High For very long. I moved to Hawaii and went to school over there. After H.S. I joined the Army . When I got out of the service I played baseball in the California Angel organization. I was pitching and doing very good when as luck would have it I got into an accident and hurt my pitching arm and shoulder bad enough that it ended any hopes of a pro career. Having said that, since I was raised in Reseda and went to Sequoia Jr. H.I. most all of my friends went to Reseda H.I. When I couldn't play ball any longer we moved to Oregon. ( didn't mention that when I was in the Army I met the love of my life and we have been married a little over 50 years). When we moved to Oregon (Grants Pass) I became a police officer. The Pay was awful and I was working two jobs to make ends meet. After two yrs I had had enough so I quit the department and went to work for Montgomery Wards as an auto mechanic. (always liked working on cars). After about two yrs I was promoted to service manager and a short time later I was again promoted to auto parts and service manager and transferred to the Eugene Or. store. After a couple of yrs there we moved to Bend, Or. where I opened a muffler and brake business.
