Workplace After graudation from High School I worked at Newsday , grave yard shift, as a proof boy. After one year I left as it would take forever to advance to higher positions. My next job was at an Electronics Company where I used a microscope to put a resin in a small ring, This was a comptometer used as times in Washing Machines. There was a layoff so I was one of the last hired and first to go. My next job was at a manufacturing company, John Haskell. They manufactured screws and nails. I started of on the screw machine. They had an opening in the heat treating section of the plant. All screws and nails had to be heat treated and tested for hardness. The company was getting so much business they had to add a second shift to the heat treating section. I then worked 4PM to Midnight. I left this comany to go on active duty in the Navy.
