William's Story
Hello all. You probably remember me as Pete Clements. I attended Winter Park for my 11th and 12th grades. I was in the Winter Park High School Band playing the saxaphone. What a great time we had and I remember my close friends Rodney Armstrong, Nancy Medlock, and Kathy Jackson, Dick Koon and Tommy Waters. We had some great times together and I think of you all often.
After highschool I attended The Citadel graduating in 1961. I then entered the USAF, flying for 28 years and retiring in 1989. The next 13 years I spent with the Texas Education Agency as an auditor for school districts retiring again in 2002.
I spent the end of my Air Force Career in Austin, Tx so I remained there after retirement. In 2006 we moved to Belton, Tx where one of my two daughters resides and 3 of my 6 grandchildren. I also have one son residing in Austin. The other daughter lives in San Antonio.
Now totally retired we love to travel, and I enjoy just about any outdoor sport but love fishing the best. We are also big supporters of the Un...Expand for more
iversity of Texas Longhorns and rejoiced with the 2005 National Championship. Look for Texas to be there competing again in 2009.
My wife of 47 years, Nancy, is a retired school teacher. We met as I was entering the Air Force and have been stationed all over the world it seems like. Our two best assignments were Okinawa, and Germany and I liked my flying in Viet Nam a lot.
I hope our class has another reunion of some kind soon before we are all too old to travel. We would love to see you all.
Pete Clements
My heros are the men and women who serve in our Armed Forces. God Bless them all for what they are doing.
The one person from my past who I'd most like to see again is Tommy Waters, because due to our close relationship..
In 10 years, I hope to be alive. I'm going to get there by keeping myself healthy.
I will never forget living on a lakefront in Maitland and having lots of friends come for boating and swimming.
The trophy I most like is the Distinguished Flying Cross, (2) that I was awarded for flying in Viet Nam.
