William's Story
Life
Well, it has been an eventful 17yrs since graduating from Newport High. Wow! 17yrs huh?! Incredible. Anyway, I left Washington state to go to college in Minneapolis, MN in 1989 right after Marine Corps bootcamp. I served in the Reserves and my unit was activated for the Persian Gulf War. I came back to Washington state to visit my parents after the war and haven't been back there since. I heard traffic and the population has skyrocketed since I left. I can only imagine. Then in 2003 my unit was activated again for Operation Iraqi Freedom. I didn't go because I had just had knee surgery and was on crutches. Suck...Expand for more
s! =) But my unit went back 3 months after coming back and I went in 2004, 13yrs later. It's still hot over there. =) And the insects over there are real interesting (especially the camel spiders). My unit continues to rotate in and out currently. I got out of the Marine Corps last year and then this year I was sworn in as a Federal Police Officer. I haven't had any kids yet, but hope to in the future sometime with the right gal. Just staying busy with my career and doing construction and re-modeling homes on the side. Hope everyone is doing well!
