William's Story
I went to Chowan for 1 year and the apprentice school at Cherry Point for 6 mo. Spent 3 years in the US Army. I took basic training at Ft. Bragg then went to Ft. Monmouth NJ for electronics school. I was in Thailand for 1 year and The Pentagon for 1 year. I received a degree in electronics from Pitt Tech. in 1973 and started working for the Chemistry Dept. at East Carolina University in June 1973. I am presently still working and looking forward to retirement someday.

children. I still live near Washington.
I enjoy traveling, camping in our RV, seeing new places and meeting new people. I am a member of Riverview Baptist Church, I have been a member of the Clark's Neck Fire Department for over 30 years and a Ham Radio operator for more than 30 years also. I enjoy volunteer work with the NC Baptist Men's Disaster Relief operation, with NC Emergency Management, and The State Employees Association of NC.
I am looking forward to what the next chapter of my life will bring.
