Kirk's Story

Life Well, back in "82" I became a father. I quit school to work so unfortunantly I didn't graduate. But I did get my GED and continued on to college where I recieved my B.S. in Music Education. While going to college I started bartending in New Braunsfuls at the Shanty on 306 by the Guadelupe River. I ended up making more money tending bar than teaching so I did it for 20 years all over the country. I lived in Alabama, Florida, Arkansas and finally Missouri for 10 years before I came back to Texas. I am now married to a great gal. We have 5 kids and 3 grandchildren. Four of the kids are hers so I married into a ready made family. We currently own a 200 acre ranch south of San Antonio where we we live. I retired from the Bar/Music biz and get to spend most of my time hanging out with my grand babies. We love to hang out on ...Expand for more
Canyon Lake and ride the Guadelupe river. It's my home away from home. It seems back in the day I always hung out with people older than me. I do wonder what people must of thought of me back then. I went to the class of 82, ten year reunion with Shirly Duncan. Some of the people I knew there where from choir. Most thought I was stuck up back then but it was because I thought they were....ha! You never know? I was a shy guy then, never really felt like I belonged. I was a muscian, not a sports guy so at times I was made fun of by certain folks so I just kept to to the friends I had. It's weird how things work out. I had lots of friends in elementary but as soon as junior and high school came around it was a whole nother story. I guess it was me who withdrew, not sure why? But I would love to hear from the folks I once knew.
