I graduated from Centreville HS in 1950, Michigan State University 1954, U. S. Air Force from 1954 - 1956. Air Force Reserves until 1962. I started working at Kellogg's in Battle Creek, Michigan in 1957 in Quality Control. I moved to the Idaho Falls, ID in June 1958. and married my wife Florence Shaw from Pontiac, MI in 1959. Florence and I had 4 children from 1960 to 1968. I worked in the potato processing industry in Quality Assurance, Research & Development, Technical Sales and finally Plant Manager between 1958 and 1976. I started my own consulting practice and pilot plant laboratory in 1976 in Moses Lake, WA and have been self employed for 31 years until my retirement in 2007. I sold my practice and laboratory assets to the University of Idaho in 2005 and assisted the U of I Food Science Staff in the transfer of my existing customers until 2007.
