Wallaceville grade school, then to Ray Adams Jr. High in Dearborn for one year (whole school was only 9th grade) then back to the Wallaceville building while Riverside was finishing being built. About the time it opened, I moved to Garden City High for one year, then to Howell for Jr and Senior year. After H.S., two years in Army (Hawaii) Then about 40 yr. as a Firefighter. First in Dbn. Hgts., Then 24 yr. in Northbrook, IL, 8 in Hingham, MA. I just retired as Fire Chief there to move to Tucson. I have visited every state in the U.S. and settled on AZ.

Military
I was in Co. A. I still remember that there were 2,250 1/4 in. phone jacks in a patch panel van. I remember being up for 24 hours stuck in the patch panel van, trouble shooting the radio shots and wiring for "Lightning Main" at the begining of every field exercise. I remember how to "whistle down a line" to trip the ringing generator on the other end of a VHF radio shot. We used to try to get someone at HQ to give us the VHF, TTY, and switchboard lists ahead of time so we could set up our patches in the motor pool ahead of the excercises. find me at chiefwej comcast.net
