William's Story
Hello everyone. I joined the navy in 1969 and left Detroit forever,here's my past history.
I went Brunswick Maine after completing navy Boot Camp and stayed there until 1972 then went to serve in an Attack Squadron on the USS America off the coast of Viet Nam, came back to Jacksonville Fl until I got out of the Navy in 1973. Stayed out of the navy for about a year and then joined the Army for 3 years in 74. Spent 1 year at Hunter Army Airfield in Savannah Ga then went to Bamberg Germany for 2 years...Expand for more
. Got out of the Army and moved to Salt Springs Florida for 5 years (Ocala Natl Forest) and in 1982 I got married to a Florida Cracker, had a Son in 82 and a daughter in 84. Also rejoined the navy in 82 and spent 3 years in Pensacola, then returned to Jacksonville. Spent my last 10 years in the navy working on F/A-18 Hornets and most of my sea time was on the Theodore Roosevelt. Retired in 1995 and am currently living just southwest of Jacksonville. I guess that's about it, not much of a writer.
