William's Story
After graduation from high school I attended college for a year before joining the Navy. Went through "boot camp" in San Diego, CA (1966) and was then assigned to the USS Chicago. Transfered to submarine duty in 1968 and served aboard the USS Sam Rayburn, USS Greenling, USS Pollack and USS Cobbler. Saw a lot of the world while in the Navy. rried in 1976. From 1991-1998, I served as a captain in the Army Nurse Corps. I retired (2022) from Memorial Medical Center in Savannah and now live in Byron, GA.
I'm married (50 years) to a wonderful lady (Dean) and we have one son. Sailing has been a passion for 40 years, however, I am currently "boatless” and inactive. I play a little golf occasionally,
Life has been good, thus far, and I believe that I have been truly blessed. Would love to hear from old friends..
