william's Story
Graduated in 1971, got married too young and joined the Navy. Attended the University of Florida and Southern Illinois University, where I received an Education degree.. Later in life I married my best friend and the sweetest, nicest, if not the best person I had ever met and we had three wonderful children. My three youngest children still live with me, Bill Jr (24), Noah (21) and Virginia (17). They are my best friends. My beloved wife passed away in 2014 and since then, I have dedicated my life to her memory and raising my children. I consider myself very fortunate to still enjoy good health, both physical and mental as I near my 69th birthday, (still have my hair but now it is white instead of brown and now falls several inches past my shoulders). back at my time at EHS as a great time in my life and remember my friends with great fondness. I am a retired corporate trainer and spend my time reading and immersed in listening to music of all types. I still love sports even though I am too old to fully participate. My youngest son was a youth baseball superstar and I loved coaching his teams from the age of 9 until he graduated from high school, where he was a four year starter on his school's baseball team
Looking back, one of the biggest mistakes of my young life was not having my Senior picture taken and as a result, I do not appear in the 1971 yearbook. My best friend and I thought it would be an act of rebellion, but in retrospect, it was an act of stupidity. I have and still do learn from my mistakes, though. I hope all of my fellow EHS alums are doing well and would welcome hearing from any of you. I live in Jacksonville, Florida.
