Hello to any and all of you who are listening. To quote the Greatful Dead [Truckin'] "what a long strange trip it's been." Up's and down's and lots of rewards. I went to Johns Hopkins in 1969 to play lacrosse, not go to class, not to learn traditional college subjects, etc. After the 1st year of lacrosse, I resigned. I had a good year, and was the high scorer. However, through the influences of the 'times' - family members, and some friends, issues like protesting the illegal slaughter of people in Vietnam -- the U.S. Ruling Thugs? dropped more tonnage of bombs on Vietnam, than did all Rulers of all countries involved in the 2nd Large Scale War, once again started by the Rulers of Capitalist Empires. So my points of view were changing about my understanding of U.S. Imperial/Imperialist History. I will never forget finding out that this particular building in the middle of the Johns Campus, lit up 24/7, was a Science Lab, whose fouc was creating biological weapons for their usefullness as "real weapons of war." I was stilll naive of the grand sweep of American Rulers' behaviors, so this really made me that I did not belong at this University. The irony is thaat all Research Universities have contracts with the Department of War. At the end of my 2nd year, I decided to quit college. While my new-found radical politics did not vanish, my life style and activites became more consistent with a white middle income "counter-culture" Hippie with certain unearned privileges automatically yet rarely understood by us average people. And as I write this in June of 2015, I believe we live in one of the most racially segregated and racist countries -- in the sense that the vast majority of white folks maintain, whether consciously or not, various forms of racial disdain or more mild racial differences, but superior characteristics toward African Americans, but also almost any non-white group. Of course, another irony is we experience a society in which forms of racism still define Amerika, but according to any decent person schooled in the diversities among modern human beings -- there is only 1 Human Race. And yes, there are trivial phenotypical, external, trivial differences. Racism without distinct races, by the Western Rulers of the African Slave Labor System needed an ideology to justify their barbarity -- hence, with the help of scholars at the great Colonial Universities, the Elite Ivy League Schools, their scholars furnished the pathetic, but highly accepted sham 'proofs' that Africans are a distinct inferior racial group. Now on a few lighter notes, after I left Baltomore -- from a neighborhood recently in the news for murdering Mr. Freddie Gray. A neighborhood that I lived in for 1 year, that by 2015 had dilapidated even further from its previously dilapidated barren wasteland in 1971. I travelled the U.S. and Canada with John Morrison and a Hopkins' friend. I went to Europe twice. The first time, with Doug Zarookian: our method? back packs, have thumb will travel, and so on. Highlight:we visitied Mary Kiely and Mara King in Niece, France. They were spending a sememster abroad. The second trip to Europe was with my girlfriend Dede [Diane] George. We landed in Ireland, spend Christmas in Poland--1973?-- continued on to Greece, with many stops here and there-- including some high times Amsterdam. Due to a tragic set of unkknowns, Dede passed away in the late 1980's?. Our older son, Chris--26 years old--, is pursuing an acting career. He is located in NYC. He has taken advanced courses in acting,and he has been in a few "off-off Broadway" plays. He is really just begining and he is working hard to make it a success.He starte...Expand for more
