William's Story
After HS I worked 34 years for Ford Motor company starting as apprentice Pattern Maker to a Process & Tooling Engineer, retiring in 2001. I then worked for a Mexican company (Nemak) in Canada and Mexico from 2002 until February of 2009. I'm now retired. I married my wife Karen (Delmotte) in 1972 and had two children, Nathan (1975) and Anastasia (1977).
I lived in Southgate, MI (1972), Woodhaven, MI (1974), Monterrey, Mexico (1981), Woodhaven, MI (1982, again), Troy, MI (1983), Rochester Hills, MI (1999) and are currently in Bradenton, Florida (2009).
I had back problems in 2006 in which I had a MRI done on my back. By accident it was discovered I had...Expand for more
cancer in my left kidney (kidney cancer is a silent killer, you usually don't know about it until it's too late). So, I had my left kidney removed and I was fortunate that the cancer was contained in the kidney. So far, I have been cancer free.
My daughter is a speech pathologist working in the Dearborn, MI school system and my son is an Elementary School Principal working east of Grand Rapids, MI.
My daughter married in 2004, living in Canton, MI, and eventually had our first grandchild Adriana in 2015.
My son married in 2010, living in Cascade, Mi, had our second grandchild Annalise in 2019.
Wife and I are still living in Bradenton, FL. 9/29/2023
