William's Story
Life
Graduated from U. of Illinois in 1983 with a BS in Mechanical Engineering. I was recruited out of school to work in Silicon Valley, California, and lived there until August, 2002, when I moved to Colorado. I managed a design engineering group at Cisco Systems, where I worked for 9 years, and I moved to a stealth mode startup company named Kuokoa Networks in the Summer of 2001. I retired from the rat race at the age of 40, and found a new home in Colorado to move to with my family...

The University of Illinois is a great place! My favorite memories are from my time spent there.
Workplace
Silicon Valley. What a wonderful place to make your fortune.
After finding the perfect industry for an electrically minded Mechanical Engineer, they decided to export that business to the Far East. And after working at a nice company that developed pen-based computers a decade ahead of it's time, I ended up at a small inconspicuous company named Cisco Systems. Jackpot!
