William's Story

School Well, for most people, if any, who read this, none of it is going to be a big surprise. But, let's see . . . being a small town boy, I went to Edinburg schools clear from the beginning. I started out in Pre-School, and graduated High School, all in Edinburg. It was great and I loved most of it. As far as inspiration goes (and quality) Edinburg schools do great. But let's see how many people can do this: Pre-School = Mrs. Bandy and (then) Ms. Jennifer, (now) Mrs. Tracey Kindergarten = Mrs. Fairchild First Grade = Mrs. Spring Second Grade = Mrs. Ashbrook Third Grade = Mrs. Robertson (then, it was Ms. Kirshman) Fourth Grade = Ms. Woolridge (then) Fifth Grade = Ms. Woolridge (then, I can't remember what her name is now, sorry.) Sixth Grade= Shoot, let's see . . . Mr. Bell, Mr. Jones, Mr. Owens, and Ms. Smith (then). That hit's the high points that I still remember Seventh Grade = Is that when Mr. Jordan came to town? Eighth Grade = (I'm so glad we made it through this year. Who has Junior High Graduations anyway?) High School = I'm hitting the high points here. Mr. Smith, God bless the man. He was amazing. Cubbie baseball, American History, Kincaid football, and historical figure lectures; man, those are some great memories. Mrs. Smith, amazing English teacher, but lets forget about me falling asleep in class. Spanish classes, boy that was a mistake. Mr. Jones, good guy, great math teacher. Mrs. Brummet, very entertaining (Does anyone know if she ever made it to a Vegas show to see Barry Manilow?) Ms. Branch, math gets interesting with her. Mrs. Sandage (Greg's mom), the board game is effective, and really fun. Ms. Little's health class. And what about Coach Waggahof's PE class, how many times did I w...Expand for more
atch him yell? College: Lincoln Land Community College= a really good school, surprisingly. There are some really good faculty there. But, never, ever assume that Physical Science in college is as nice as it was in High School. Physics, man, . . . physics. They have a great Psychology program. Virgil Rhodes is probably one of the people who cemented my interest in law. University of Illinois at Springfield= another great educational experience. They are a little stuck in the bureaucratic muck, but otherwise great. Kathryn Eisenhart and Dennis Rendleman are two other individuals who helped me prove to myself that I should go into law. The Legal Studies program is excelent, even if I did stress out my whole way through it. It really is a great program, and completely underrated. Really, they deserve so much respect. It really prepared me for law school. The Criminal Justice program is great as well. Oh, and Pscyhology of Spirituality (Yeah, it's a class, and it's awesome!!) is probably another one of the best college courses ever created. I really recommend that one too. (It may seem contradictive, but trust me, it really is a thought-provoker. It is also possible to sit through if you are a Christian; really, I promise, I went through it with a youth-minister who is a Pastor's daughter, and she really enjoyed it.) So, that leads me up to law school . . . Thomas M. Cooley Law School= I'm currently in Lansing, Michigan. I am making it through and it is tough. But, it is shapping up to be a really good school. It should be since it is the largest private law school in the nation. You don't need to check anywhere else to see my educational history, it's all right here. I hope you enjoyed reading about it.
