William's Story
Life
I married my wife Isabelle on 6/17/2001. Our daughter Chantel was born 9/18/2003. Our second child, Cameron, was born 3/17/2009. We have 2 pet cats, King Ghidorah [named for the 3 headed dragon in the Godzilla movies!] and Princess Jasmine [Aladin].
School
My biggest crush...no way am I putting that down here...even after all these years!!!! (You know who you are - or should!). David Knott, our band director, probably inspired me the most in regards to leadership skills and dealing with people, which was important in my current career. Overall, I had a good time at Monrovia High School, so, yes, I would probably do it all again.
College
I graduated summa cum laude from Butler University in 1993 with a double major in biology and chemistry. (And, yes, I made time for some major league partying as well!...likely a surprise to those that knew me back in the day!). I got my medical degree from Indiana University in 1997 and did my family medicine residency at Community Hospitals of Indianapolis from 1997-2000.
Workplace
I moved to Muncie IN in 2000 and was employed by Cardinal Health ...Expand for more
Systems for 5 years. Currently, I am a Board-Certified Family Physician on the clinical staff at Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie IN. In 2005 I left Cardinal Health Systems to begin the Muncie branch of American Health Network, a multispecialty group of approximately 250 physicians in Indiana and Ohio. I currently see a broad range of patients from newborns to geriatric patients. Our practice consists of 10 physicians and one P.A. We have lab, X-ray, CT, MRI, ultrasound, vascular lab, cardiac testing, physical therapy, sleep lab, dietician, respiratory therapy, psychiatric counselling, as well as a multispecialty clinic and pharmacy! It has been a chore to get it up and functioning, but it is a wonderful facility. I am certified in ACLS, PALS, and CPR. I am a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, American Medical Association, Indiana State Medical Association, and International Society of Clinical Densitometry. I am the director of our Osteoporosis Clinic, Diabetes/Lipid Clinics, Respiratory Clinic and I oversee our physical therapy department.
