William Studdard:  

After graduating from North Georgia College, The Military College of Georgia, I entered active duty with the Navy, spending the next four years seeing the world. I spent the first two years stationed in Portugal serving on a NATO staff, and the next two as the navigator aboard the USS Connole (FF-1056), homeported in Norfolk, VA. Aboard the Connole I participated primarily in anti-submarine operations and training in the Atlantic, Caribbean, and Mediterranean, After release from active duty, I remained in the Naval Reserve, seeing additional overseas duty in UK and Egypt. I retired from the Naval Reserve as a Commander (O-5). I used the GI Bill to go to graduate business school at Georgia State University. As my civilian job, I was a Special Agent with the US Treasury Department. I investigated tax fraud, import/export fraud, violations of international sanctions, money laundering and other financial crimes in addition to the investigation of a wide range of other criminal activity, including international drug and weapons smuggling.
