William's Story
I married Linda Kenney In 1965. We raised 3 children. One boy, now 48 years old ( William, Jr.); Lisa, 47; and Renee ,44. They all live near us in the St. Louis area. In 1966, I was hired by the FORD MOTOR CO. as an assembler, at MAHWAH, N.J. had a long conversation. A few of them. At the time, 2 of our children were in high school, the other in middle school. MY concerns were seniority and benefits(I had 14 years with the Co.). The other concerns were leaving Linda's sister and mother! They were the closest knit family I've known. On the day of our departure, Linda's mother said something to me that I will never forget. Nor, will I share. The family arrived in St. Louis 1/1/1983. We have been here ever since. I became a union rep. from 1988 to 1996. Then, I retired on 1/1/97. MEMORIUM: DORIS CANFIEJD, 11/83; LINDA'S MOTHER; BARBARA POST: LINDA's sister, I LOVE THEM BOTH. This story was written on 3/4/2014
