My Pets
Since being married, I do not have any pets.
School
I grew up as William Elvin Turrentine. Most of my friends called me "Billy." My senior year, I changed to Bill. After my first year of college, I changed my last night to match my step-father's last name. Now, I am William Elvin Buell.
College
I got my Bachelor of Art with a Major in Religion emphasis chaplaincy and Minor in Philosophy at Wayland Baptist University, Plainview, TX. I went on to get a Masters of Divinity with a specialization in Military chaplaincy at Logsdon School of Theology at Hardin-Simmons University, Abilene, TX.

Military
I started as a Private/E-2 in Plainview, TX while in college. Sinc...Expand for more
e my calling to military chaplaincy, this was a helpful step in understanding the military from the ground up. I got promoted all the way to Private First Class/E-3 when I had to move out of Plainview back to Dallas. I transferred to a unit in Fort Worth because I thought I would be going to seminary near by. I got promoted to Specialist/E-4. 27January 2001, my packet returned from Washington to Austin and I received promotion to 2LT and Staff Specialist Chaplain Candidate. 7 December 2002, I received promotion to 1LT and Chaplain. August of 2004 mobilized to deploy with the Texas Army National Guard for deployment to Irag thru May of 2005. August 2005, I left the TXARNG for the US Army Reserve. 13 October 2007 made the rank of Captain. 1st July 2014 made the rank of Major.
