Bill's Story
HI Y’all,
Been busy over the past 5 decades, I left Yakima 10 days after H.S. Graduation straight into the military and stayed for 24 years. I was hot and ready to get to Viet Nam. During my tenure with the military and civilian contracts I've been lucky enough to travel around the world and visit many places. We've seen and done a lot of things. So now my wife says it's time to rest.
I tried out for the Olympics in 76, what a joke, but at least I gave it a shot. I worked on a 12 man Presidential support staff in the early 80's for 12 months. Great job!!! After Desert Storm I retired and accepted a major position on a 6 man contract for the Ministry of Defense in Kuwait. Excellent job, learned to speak Farsi/Arabic and made a ton of money. ary and foreign contracts job I gave the Post Office a whirl. Being a disabled vet I had know problems getting hired. Retired from there in 2009. Then took a management job with American Airlines and finally retired from there.
During all this traveling I managed to get married 3 times! What a mess. The 3rd marriage finally took and I've been married to my lovely bride for 31 years. I presently have 3 grand kids, 1 girl and 2 grand sons. I became a Great grandfather last year and will again this summer.
I presently live in North Alabama and I'm a Cancer survivor. Life is good and we enjoy everyday of it. My doggie Jack still keeps me busy and my grand daughter keeps me broke!
