William's Story
Life
Married to Cindy Hughes (from Ridgway, PA). Served in US Navy. Previously stationed aboard USS Enterprise CVN-65 in Alameda California, USS Comstock LSD-45 in San Diego CA, USS Hewitt DD-966 (TAD during the homeport shift from San Diego to Yokosuka Japan in 1990). ferred June 98 to USS Platte AO-186 Norfolk Va. Decommissioned the Platte in June of '99, and received orders to the USS Saipan. I transferred in December 2001 to the Naval School of Explosive Ordnance Disposal at Eglin AFB FL. From there I finally retired and moved to Manhattan Kansas to continue my college studies. I work for Kansas State University as an electrician, and attend classes in my spare time.
