Life After getting my Associates Degree from Nassau Community I found a wonderful wife who turned my life around. We met while I was working as assistant manager of a 7-11. She is the one who said the magic words: "You can do better than this!" And so I did... I spent 17 years as a restaurant manager for Friendly's Ice Cream. My proudest moment was receiving an award from New York State for hiring the handicapped. Later I took the opportunity to switch fields and began a career in their Information Systems Department where I did computer support for 820 restaurants. Work in I.T. eventually brought me into the commercial laundry field where I was employed as the manager of the uniform division for Angelica Textiles in Hempstead. Widow...Expand for more
