Woodrow's Story
I now live in Mesquite,Texas and am married I moved here from Oklahoma City in 1991 and started teaching 5th grade in Mesquite ISD that year. After 6 years of teaching and 7 years of being an asst. principal I retired in 2004 for a total of 34 years in education. The first 21 years of working in education were in Oklahoma. I started teaching in 1970 and taught Biology and Earth Science in middle schools in Oklahoma City for 6 years, then moved to Guthrie, Oklahoma as a high school asst. principal for 5 years. principal at Guthrie High School for 6 years. I then worked in the central office for 1 and 1/2 years as an administrative asst. to the Guthrie School Superintendent.
I then went back to Oklahoma City Public Schools as an Asst. Principal at Star Spencer High School for 1 semester and Capitol Hill High School for 2 years.
