Yahsana's Story
You all may remember me as a quiet person in homeroom A211. Honor Society, Bowling Team, Peer Leadership and the school newspaper. My favorite saying whenever I received good or funny news was "Oooo! Scandal!" Me and Charlene Edmonds were also football managers (water girls).
I'm a Pre-k teacher in the Jersey City Public School System going on my third year in September. Finally in the JCBOE after 10 years of private schools and non-union hire and fire at will teaching jobs.
I'm the oldest of four girls. Me and Hasana went to Ferris. I'm also the aunt of four wonderful children (2 girls, 2 boys). One of these days I'll settle down and have one of my own (if I keep saying it then one day I'll mean it - smile).

fact I'm an ordained minister at Mt. Sinai Full Gospel Church in Jersey City and director of Christian Education. I'm also in charge of the Youth Department. I've even traveled to Kenya to furnish and stock our Boys Orphanage (Nairobi) and buy books for the school (Embu) we sponsor. Check out my pics. It was an enlightening experience.
As if there's not enough on my plate, I'm currently enrolled in the Doctoral Program at Seton Hall University. I'm about 12 credits and a dissertation away from my Doctorate in Educational Leadership, Management and Policy.
I'm too busy to go out and find old classmates. So if any of you out there went to school with me, holla at a sista, keep me updated. Are we going to finally have a reunion? What's up?
