Yolanda's Story
When I last wrote one of these, was when I was waiting for a liver transplant. I got it 5 years ago Jan 21. Needless to say, I am doing great. Leonel('68)and I live in Burbank South Dakota. He practices neurology in Sioux City, Iowa and I am attending University of South Dakota /Vermillion to get a teaching degree in Spanish. Someone has to teach these south dakotans how to order in Spanish. Life has been good. We had 2 sons in 71 and 72. We adopted another 2 in 82. We failed at empty nest and adopted a little girl who is now 14 and last summer we got 2 more south dakotans and now have 3 teenage daughters at home. Ag...Expand for more
es 14,9th grader, 14, 8th grader and 13 a 7th grader. All are involved in swimming or something. I don't get to San Antonio very often since my parents passed shortly after graduation and Leonel has 1 surviving sibling that don't see eye to eye. Leonel's brother, David ('70)died about 10 years ago. We have missed the big guy. He thought we we nuts but he loved us and all our kids. Our house is full. Our lives are full and we are so very blessed and have to give God full credit for keeping us safe. If you remember either Leonel, Dave or myself, drop us a note. We would love to hear from you.
