It all started at Whitehall Elementary School back in 19....well I'm not gonna even GO there! Then it was on to Jackson Junior High School, where I fell madly in love with RANDY PERRY, who was THE playa from the Himalayazzzz LOL That relationship only lasted until he moved onto the next.. YALL know how the game go! Then it was off to Jackson Central Merry High School, where my NERD genes kicked in. I was also a cheerleader at JCM, but I eventually got kicked off the squad because I became a non-wed mother, but more of that later... Next, I ended up at Lane College (Upward Bound Bridge Program) through the contact of a very gracious mentor--Mr. Frank Ballard (R.I.P) ** I was also crowned Miss Upward Bound 1987!!!** And to my great joy AND to my PARENTS, I received a full Presidential Scholarship to Tennessee State University in Nashville, TN. I left there in 1993 to attend dental school at Meharry Medical College School of Dentistry in Nashville, TN. From there, I joined the Navy and served as a dental corp officer for six years before finally settling into a comfortable married life in Chesapeake, VA.
