Yvette's Story
Life
Joined the Air Force right out of high school. I am the proud parent of two beautiful daughters. I have one aging beagle and one spry cat who keep me entertained. Currently living just outside San Antoino, TX. I retired from the Air Force in September 2005 and started working for Lockheed Martin as a senior business process analyst. I work in the same building I did while on active duty, but without the uniform. I love it! :-)
I hope friends remember me as honest and supportive with a good sense of humor.
I always wanted to be a writer when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a good idea. I've finally started listening to them.
My favorite way to relax is with a glass of Moscato and a good book or music.
What is the wildest thing I ever did in school? Ha! My friends know me well enough to know I wasn't the least bit wild in school. It was out of school where I let down my hair!
If I'm going to work somewhere, I need to have music, humor, and chocolate to be able to deal with the day-to-day.
The one person from my p...Expand for more
ast who I'd most like to see again is Grandpa G, because I would love to discuss his service during WWII.
My biggest surprise in life has been how strong I am when I need to be.
I have learned from my kids to never stop dancing!
The teacher I would most love to see again is Mrs. Horsky because she was the first teacher to see the real me and encourage me to pursue my dreams.
To be truly happy, I would be a successful writer, traveling with my closest friends and family members.
What happened to my first crush? He grew up! :-) Actually, he is someone I consider a dear friend, even though we only catch up once in a while.
My best friend would tell you I'm funny, but people who don't know me very well would probably describe me as reserved.
If I had one do-over, I would not be as shy during my school years.
What about me would surprise everyone at my high school reunion? Except for the kids from my home town, no one else would remember me anyway, so I guess learning that I actually attended high school with them would be a surprise. :-)
