Yvette's Story
Life
Hi All
You knew me as Yvette LaClear in High School. When we graduated in "69" I hung around Redding for a few years then moved to San Jose in 1972. Lived there for 5 years and worked as a nurse for the VA hospital in Palo Alto. I then transfered to Sacramento to go to work for the Air Force at McClellan AFB.
Here I met my first hubby Todd Moore by whom we had 2 very beautiful girls, Stacy (1979) and Danielle (1985). We seperated and in 1988 married my second hubby Bruce Blodgett. In 1997 the govt decided to close McClellan and I got a new job offer from the US ARMY at Ft Lewis Wa. So we moved up to Wa State so I could continue to work. Here, I work with Haz Materials and waste, and have really become Environmentally aware of the need for better ways of recycling, and alturnatives for chemical use.
Bruce passed away in 2002 so I am now single and an empty nester. Danielle graduated from High ...Expand for more
School in 2003 and moved back to California. She now lives in the Stockton area and is engaged to be married in 2006.
I am hoping to be able to retire in a little over a year from now, but still not sure what I will do when the time comes. I may move back to California, or Oregon, but still have to give it some thought.
Finally made up my mind in Feb 2007, and applied for retirement. Have now retired from Federal Service as of 30 Apr 2007 and am moving back to California to be close to my daughters. Will be residing in the Stockton/Modesto area as that is where both daughters live.
Here it is now 2008 and finally found and bought a house in Sacramento. Decided that the grandkids around 24/7 was just a little too much but am still close enough to see them when I want to. Am going to look for a part-time job (that I enjoy) to help fill my time but still give me enough freedom to enjoy my retirement.
